Upcoming Mosler Raptor in 2012?

Mosler Automotive is an American supercar brand that has always focused on race track performance. Their goals have been to create the quickest street legal cars.
One of the most notable was their Raptor. This car was an evolution of their current model.
Could Mosler be planning a new Raptor? An evolution of the already blistering MT900S?

Mosler has a history of building insanely fast track cars, starting with the Consulier GTP in 1985. From the start it was very fast. It was banned from IMSA for its speed.

In 1993 the company was renamed Mosler Automotive. The GTP was renamed the Intruder. After 2 consecutive wins at the 24 hours of Nelson Ledges it was banned. It was also banned from Car & Driver's One Lap of America after 3 consecutive wins.

In 1997 the Intruder was updated with a V-shaped windshield. It was renamed the Raptor. The windshield cut drag and improved lap times significantly over the already very fast Intruder.

The original Mosler Raptor was a very fast track car. But like the two previous cars it lacked in the looks department. In 2001 the MT900 was released. Styled by a third party, it finally brought style with speed. The MT900S has set lap times that have blown away the Viper ACR, Nissan GTR, Ferrari 430 Scuderia and everything else.
There is no other mention of the Raptor on the website. When asked about it on facebook, Warren Mosler's page replied, "Top Secret you will have to wait... Let's put it this way it is violent, vicious and scares children and small farm animals!"
The MT900S is already viciously fast. If they put it under a weight loss program and improve the aerodynamics with the split window they could have a deadly weapon. We will have to wait for official details though.

Remember, the MT900S already has a drag coefficient, Cd, of 0.36, which is equivalent to the Bugatti Veyron, but the MT900S also produces downforce in the thousands of pounds.

Another interesting fact about Mosler is slot car racing. There are no restrictions in slot cars like in race cars. All use the same motor and weigh the same, but aerodynamics are unregulated. The car with the best downforce-to-drag ratio will win. Four years ago the first MT900 slot car was released, and since then the entire field of cars at the world championships has been MT900s. There has been no Mosler sponsorship which proves it is just a superior design.

Yes, it has been confirmed(see my confirmed article http://kcsupercars.blogspot.com/2011/06/mosler-raptor-confirmed.html)

This article was written over a month before any of the car websites or magazines know about it.
